An Affair to Remember Prom, Pageant & Formal Wear is gearing up for the return of its popular Formal Wear Fashion Show. The event is set to take place on Saturday, Jan. 6, 2024, at the Crown Expo in Fayetteville, NC. This year’s show is not just a fashion statement but a celebration of style, empowerment, and community support. The theme will be A Girl To Remember.
The 2024 fashion show, crafted to officially kick off the prom season, will exhibit the latest formal wear fashion from renowned designers such as JOVANI, Sherri Hill, Johnathan Kayne, Ashley Lauren and more. Audiences will witness an array of designs, setting the trends for the upcoming year.
This year’s event will incorporate the nonprofit Women of Power Society of N.C., founded by Kathy Keefe Jensen. This group was founded as a way to recognize the remarkable women who lead and give back within the community. The fashion show celebrates not just style but the strength and grace of little girls and young ladies, and the Women of Power will grace the runway, showcasing the diversity and beauty of all ages.
This annual event serves as a fundraiser to support local women in business. Proceeds from the show will contribute to a grant provided to the Center for Economic Empowerment and Development (CEED), aiding efforts to uplift women entrepreneurs.
Last year, the show raised $10,000 which was presented to CEED during HERWeek in early March.
The runway producer is the world-renowned high fashion model, top model judge, and pageant walking coach Mariana Verkerk. Her expertise and vision are set to make this event a remarkable experience for both participants and attendees.
