The actress sat front row for a runway presentation that also drew Cate Blanchett, Lea Seydoux, Jennifer Connelly, Paul Bettany, Pharrell Williams, Regina King, Jaden Smith and filmmaker Ava DuVernay.
Paris Fashion Week got a dose of Zendaya on Monday.
The actress turned up to the star-studded runway presentation for Louis Vuitton in the City of Lights wearing a daring white dress with double zippers. The plunging gown featured a top zipper that was pulled down to her midriff, while the bottom accent was zipped open to her mid thigh. She paired the look with stilettos to match, minimal Bulgari jewelry (including mini hoop earrings, gold bangles and a ring) and her hair parted down the middle. She attended the womenswear spring/summer 2024 show with an entourage that included longtime stylist and close friend Law Roach.
Zendaya debuted as a house ambassador for Louis Vuitton in April as part of a campaign to launch the Capucines bag. The fall season was shaping up to be a high-profile run for the actress, who had back-to-back releases set to hit the big screen in Luca Guadagnino’s Challengers and Denis Villeneuve’s Dune sequel. However, due to the SAG-AFTRA strike, those movies got pushed to 2024.
Monday’s presentation from creative director Nicolas Ghesquière proved to be a starry affair filled with Oscar winners, filmmakers, international pop stars and European fashionistas. Among those in attendance were Cate Blanchett, Léa Seydoux, Ana de Armas, Regina King, Alicia Vikander, Ava DuVernay, Jennifer Connelly and Paul Bettany, Cynthia Erivo, Phoebe Dynevor, Gemma Chan, Chloë Grace Moretz, Jaden Smith, Venus Williams, Jurnee Smollett, Emma Chamberlain, Robyn, Felix, New Jeans member Hyein, and Haim members Este, Danielle and Alana Haim.
Also making the rounds was Pharrell Williams, who took over as men’s creative director for Louis Vuitton this year. For today’s show, James Chinlund handled production design and per the house, it was designed to evoke Louis Vuitton’s “spirit of travel.” Chinlund reimagined the space as a hot air balloon draped in sails created by Penique Productions “beckoning guests to immerse in the warm summer light cast across the set.”
